South West Treaty Gathering
EVENT DATE: 08/11/2024
The First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria is hosting a Regional Treaty Gathering in Geelong on Friday 8th November, between 11:30am-2:30pm, at the Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre on Surfcoast Highway, Grovedale.
This Treaty gathering is a chance for mob in the South West region to get together, yarn with your elected Assembly Members, share a feed, learn more about Treaty and have your say.
Enrolled Assembly members will receive a $50 fuel voucher for attending to contribute towards their expenses.
Please note – this is a free event for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people in the South West Region. The First Peoples Assembly welcomes non-Indigenous carers and support workers of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people coming to this event. Registration is essential.
(Note – this gathering is a one off event at the Narana site, the centre is currently still closed for public access. More announcements will be made in the coming weeks about the re-opening of the cultural centre to the general public).
