Our services
Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative offers a wide range of services for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander families living or in transit in the region. We aim to provide increased and improved access to culturally appropriate health, children, housing, education, employment and cultural services. Community wellbeing and connection is at the core of what we do and our goal is to continue to build the capacity of our community to achieve self-determination.
HEALTH
Our Health Clinic is open from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm and offers GP appointments as well as access to specialists. We also have a dedicated Social Emotional Wellbeing team to provide holistic and culturally secure services that contribute to a resilient, healthy community.
COMMUNITY
Our community strengthening team are all about bringing our mob together. They plan a range of events and activities for all ages to get involved with and are always happy to have a cuppa and a yarn. Drop in and see them at Morgan Street.
FAMILIES
Strong families bring up strong children. Our Family Services team provide a range of training and education programs to help parents to be their best. We also offer a range of culturally appropriate supports for families experiencing family violence or needing to engage with the Child Protection system.
CULTURE
Strengthening culture and providing cultural services for allies. We connect Aboriginal people with their community, culture, country and language. We also offer cultural training and services in mainstream society.
