First Nations Senior Project Worker

Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) is the primary non legal advocacy provider in Victoria for people subject to or at risk of compulsory treatment and are responsible for the opt out system. IMHA has identified that First Nations people are overrepresented in some areas of Victoria in the mental health system.

This role will coordinate activities to deliver a project plan including communication strategies, stakeholder engagement and report writing. You will work closely with the IMHA leadership team and First Nations advocates to progress the project while developing strong and respectful relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will also supervise the First Nations Project Worker who will be supporting with achieving key deliverables.

This is a special measures role and only First Nations people are eligible to apply, as per the Equal Opportunity Act 2010. 

This role can be based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country or our Barwon region office on Wadawurrung Country.
