Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative is seeking quotes from qualified and culturally competent service providers for the design, coordination and delivery of a holistic and multi-faceted Leadership Development Program aligned with the Wathaurong Way — our vision, purpose, and values. This program must integrate foundational organisational knowledge, management capabilities, and leadership growth with a strong cultural framework that responds to community and staff voice.
Following internal and external consultation, Wathaurong Aboriginal Cooperative request a leadership program be developed including concepts informed by:
• Cultural grounding and identity
• Organisational feedback and staff priorities
• Key internal stakeholder input and strategic priorities
Key themes include:
• Confidence building, self-trust, and communication
• Strategic thinking, cultural competence and emotional intelligence
• Understanding governance and compliance within Wathaurong Aboriginal Cooperative
• Team building, trauma-informed & reflective practice and cross-sector collaboration
• Leading self and others within a First Nations context
The desired program will also embed storytelling, yarning circles, and a commitment to First Nations’ ways of being, knowing and doing.
