Take part in a dance workshop specially for First Nations young people that involves learning movement phrases inspired by Bangarra’s distinctive style, while sharing the rich culture and history embedded in Bangarra’s story telling. 

Bangarra Dance Theatre is a company of professional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performers. We are storytellers and fire makers, sharing rich culture and history through movement and dance. As one of Australia’s leading performing arts companies, Bangarra is committed to community engagement beyond the stage. These workshops provide a unique opportunity to connect with Bangarra’s artists, who share cultural stories sewn through their choreography.

What to Bring / Wear To ensure the best experience, participants should: 

• Wear comfortable movement clothing (shorts/pants and a t-shirt)
• Wear sandshoes or go barefoot
• Bring a water bottle
