Homelessness Housing First Workers

We currently have x1 Housing First Worker positions in the Homelessness team. The Housing First role sits within Family Services Team in the Homelessness Programs. The Housing First worker will provide intensive case management to Aboriginal community member’s and families accessing Entry Point services. They will respond to referrals in a timely manner utilising the Housing First Principles of Practice.  Both outreach and office-based services will be provided by the Housing First Team. Using a collaborative and planned approach to ensure our community members get the services and supports they need to reach their goals. Using Culturally safe practices, the Housing First Worker will assess the individual community member’s needs (and family where appropriate) and arrange, coordinate and advocate for the delivery and access to a range of programs and services that support the community member to reduce the risk of homelessness and/or achieve stable housing.
